A message from Hero Servers
Hero Servers was created with the goal of providing reliable and affordable hosting while building something independent, flexible, and enjoyable to operate.
What started as a hosting project grew into much more. Hero Servers involved deploying servers, maintaining infrastructure, building websites, managing hosting platforms, developing internal tools, creating new services, solving technical problems, and constantly learning along the way.
Running a hosting company also means maintaining infrastructure continuously, managing operating costs, supporting customers, keeping systems secure, maintaining billing platforms, and ensuring that services remain available when people depend on them.
Every project eventually reaches a point where a decision has to be made about whether continuing to operate it still makes sense.
With Hero Servers currently having no active customers, this provides the opportunity to close the service cleanly without unexpectedly disrupting anyone who depends on the platform.
There are currently no active customer websites, shared hosting accounts, VPS instances, game servers, radio servers, reseller accounts, or dedicated servers relying on Hero Servers infrastructure.
This means the closure can take place without unexpectedly taking active customer services or customer data offline.
Looking back
Running Hero Servers came with successes, challenges, infrastructure changes, new ideas, late nights, unexpected problems, and plenty of lessons.
From configuring servers and virtualization environments to building websites, developing services, maintaining customer systems, and experimenting with new technology, Hero Servers became a place to build and learn.
Not every idea worked perfectly, and not every challenge was easy, but each part of the project contributed valuable experience.
While Hero Servers itself is coming to an end, everything learned from building and operating it will continue into future projects.
To everyone who supported Hero Servers, tested services, provided feedback, helped behind the scenes, joined the community, purchased services in the past, or simply followed the project:
Thank you.
